Pytanie: How to improve in martial arts?

( Wstecz )

Answer #1:

Going to the gym may help, but I personally think its more technique (this is my personal opinion) You can constantly practice all of the moves you know, try some exercises to help with balance, etc.

Answer #2:

The best way to improve in any martial art is to do it. Practice everything you do in class at home. Pay special attention to the corrections your teacher made in class. If you have a teacher who knows you well he can help you with practice and exercises. Keep an open communication with your teacher and ask him/her what he/she thinks would help you the most to become better.
No outside training should be needed when you have a competent teacher.

Answer #3:

In the words of Miyamoto Musashi:

Practice, practice, practice.

Answer #4:

Speed, power, and balance are related.

You cannot generate power if you are off balance. You need to be relaxed (tension free) to have speed and balance. Balance comes in two flavors -- dynamic and static. Dynamic balance is to be in control and in a state of balance even when you are in motion. Static is when you are still.

How do you improve all three? By first practicing your moves slowly, deliberately, and absolutely correct each and every time. Speed is only important after you can do it right. Think about this -- you will fight like you train. If you train to be fast and wrong, then you are teaching yourself to do things wrong fast. What does that buy you?

Going to the gym does help, but you have to have a plan -- what area of your body needs work? Don't just go to the gym and use the shotgun approach in working on every thing. For example, do your legs need more strength? Which leg? What part -- the thighs, hamstring, or what?

Have plan first. Even if it doesn't workout, you at least would know what NOT to do. Good luck.

Answer #5:

Practice. Practice. Practice. Did i mention PRACTICE?

Answer #6:

It's because your just doing it for just a month, then you already had some basic movements and techniques, in order to improve you must totally understand the correct methods and applications of every techniques and drills.

While you are at home, you must have specific time to practice and a place wherein you feel comfortable that nothing will going to destruct your attention, maybe at your room if you have enough space, if nothing then, anywhere at your home which you can certainly move accordingly.

Good luck
