Pytanie: Which do you think is better? Krav Maga or Capoeira?
( Wstecz )
Answer #1:
capoera has a lot of of fancy moves designed to disguise it as a dance sadly this was done as a trade off with functionality soas for krav maga it is overrated in many ways however given the choice between the 2 I would take krav
really overall though if you are taught effectively the art will be effective so the particular style is of less consequence than getting a good teacher
Answer #2:
1) Krav maga isn't a martial art2) gun disarms & knife disarms are downright stupid in 99% of the cases & there is SO much bulls*it out there. Believe me last thing you want is to try fight anybody holding a sharp weapon all it takes is one miscalculated reach to get yer thumb taken off or stabbed multiple times.
3) alot of Krav Maga is overrated as the flavour of the month art, just make sure yer training teacher is legit.
As for Capoeira can't speak on experience of ever seeing it but it seems to be sold as a get fit class around my ''state'' so i can't tell you more than that
Answer #3:
Krav Maga was literally born in the midst of one of the worst wars in human history; and today it is the official hand-to-hand combat method of the IDF. But, this does not mean that it is the "ultimate" self defense system; it is treated simply as another part of military training - just like in any other armed forces. And what is available in the civilian world is almost always a watered down version that is over-hyped and somehow treated as a short course that is "effective from day one (TM)". This is both stupid and dangerous.Capoeira, on the other hand, has evolved more into an "art" rather than a "martial" one. Still, there are capoeira schools with a good amount of sparring. Try searching for "capokurts" on YouTube. As I have no hands on experience in the art, I can't really say, but it does seem that the comments about capoeira having an advantage by utilizing unusual angles of attack and follow-up attacks is pretty much justified.
